A+ Spelling Test App Reviews

I have 2 kids, a 2nd grader and a 5th grader. The 5th grader has crazy spelling words like "xylem" and "entrepreneur". This app has totally changed her scores from 9/21 to 19/21! The kids input their own spelling words and then record themselves saying the words. Then there is an unscramble, a practice test with hints if needed, and then an actual test. They can track for themselves which words they need to work on more. It has been really helpful because now when I say it is time for spelling homework, they know exactly what to do. Added bonus is familiarity with the keyboard...

Ok let me tell you that this app is great

It does what it says it will do. Yes, you have to enter your kids weekly spelling list. (Based on a few reviews, some of these people need a "How to Read" app.) Yes, it has a great interface for the child to self study those word. It falls a little short on a few other points or I would give 5 stars. Importing list is not working for me, it sort of looks like you need two emails for that. Would be nicer if the data was just sent to the cloud for sharing across devices in one household.

This app helped me remember my spelling words perfectly. I think the age range should be huge

A+ Spelling Test is extremly helpful to study for a spelling test or get better at spelling overall.This app has many ways to practice the words. One is recording yourself saying it then later on spelling the word after you hear it. Another way is you have a word that is scrambled up and you have to rearrange it. One thing that other apps dont have and this one does is you can make multiple spelling lists. Also, this app records you saying the word. What I didnt like so much was this app only had about 3 ways to practice the spelling words. Overall this is a good app to use for help with spelling.

This app works well to help my daughter study her spelling words, but I wish we could sync her lists between mine and my wifes iPads so she could study with either one.

My daughter is dyslexic this is such a great it makes spelling fun! Thank you for this awesome app!

I cant hear what I record. It doesnt play back. App does not work.

I homeschool my daughter and she loves being able to do her work by herself on a computer or her iPad. This app is excellent for her spelling tests. It only does practice test and a word scramble so its not exactly a learning aid but she needs writing practice anyway. It is nice that we dont have to have pencil and paper with us for her to take her tests or me hovering over her. You make your own list and record your own pronunciation (sounds tedious until you hear how bad off apps that pronounce the words for you are). You can back up your lists online so you can access them through any i device. Plus once they take their test they can email you the results for your records. It sends the score, the list of words, and how they spelled the words. The only thing I would add (I wouldnt change a thing!) is more spelling challenges/games like a word search, hangman, or crossword. But its worth buying as is so they can take their spelling tests on their own.

I havent studied for my spelling test and it is tomorrow and i got all of them correct using this app for 20 min

This app is the worst!!!

I rarely write reviews but this app changed the way we study for weekly spelling tests...in a word, its AWESOME! I load my childs spelling list for the week on Monday, set up emails to let me know how she is doing as she quizzes herself throughout the week (she really likes that she can send her scores to Mom and Dad) and by Friday she feels confident and ready for her test! I would gladly pay for this app if it was no longer free because we use it everyday. Thank you SO much for making spelling test study time a breeze.

When I got the word right it told me it was wrong..thats the only thing thats bad✌

Im a freshman in high school and I still use this app for anything! You could use it for definitions or even just basic word spelling! I defiantly recommend this app!

The best spelling app in the world <

App is very helpful. I had a "user error" by saying "no" to app request for access to my microphone. I email app developers & in less than 3 hours got a helpful reply! (they guided me through the process of correcting my Settings).

This app does not include any words, even if you pay to unlock all its features.

Doesnt come with any words. Wish I knew before I wasted $0.99.
